Network access is usually set up once the device is connected. Afterwards, it is no longer necessary to enter the password, and it is forgotten.
If the computer is already connected to the network:
- Locate the network icon in the control panel and right click on it.
- Select “Network and internet settings”.
- Next, select “Configure adapter settings”.
- You can also access the adapter settings by pressing Win + R and entering the command “ncpa.cpl”.
- Now you need to right-click on the wireless connection and select “Status”.
- Next, click on “Wireless Properties” and go to the “Security” tab.
- Check the checkbox under “Display input characters” and you will see the access password.
If the computer has been connected to a network before:
- Start a command line with the Win + R shortcut.
- Enter the command cmd and press Enter.
- You should now enter the command “netsh wlan show profiles” and press Enter.
- You will see all the networks for which you have saved passwords.
- Type “netsh wlan show profile name=*** key=clear”. (Instead of ***, put the name of the network you want).
- Find the “key content” field – this will be the password you’re looking for.
